A series of seven hand sewn textiles, each representing a different chakra
In 2014 I had the incredible opportunity of being a resident artist for the internationally recognized US-MX border artist Irma Sofia Poeter. Irma is a textile artist based in Tecate, MX. Being her resident artist meant that I lived with her in Tecate and worked on her project "Chakras". This project was a series of seven dresses created by hand, each dress representing a different chakra. The project was shown in "Shaped in Mexico" in London in 2014. You can learn more about this project on her website here.
